During spring break I went to sunny California. I stayed from Monday to Friday. I arrived in LAX at around 7 p.m. On Monday it was mostly just chilling out because we were jet lagged and there was really nothing to do at that time. The next day we went to Disney because my sister wanted to go and she has never gone (plus my dad's work gave us free tickets). We walked a lot but we had a great time. My dad almost got sick from one ride. On Wednesday, we took a little road trip to San Diego to go to a beach where you can take pictures with seal and sea lions (I learned that they are actually really different). My dad wanted to go to Tijuana which is about 30 minutes from we were. That same day we returned back to Los Angeles.
Thursday was a day just for me because I went to Melrose and Rodeo Dr (Which are streets famous for shopping) and I went on a shopping spree. The traffic was terrible. The hotel was only 20 minutes from the city, but because of traffic, it turned to 1 hour and 20 minutes. Friday was the day we returned back to Dallas. I had to wake up at 5 in the morning because the was departing at 8 and we prefer to be early than miss the plane. I had also gone Venice Beach, and when you smell something out of place, it is what you think it is. But in a serious, I had a fun time and I hope to go back soon.

Last summer was the best summer I've ever had. I went to Colombia for a whole month by myself. I met so many family members that I've never seen before. I ate so much that I got super sick. The weather goes from 70 degrees to like 60 degrees and since it's close to the equator, it stays like that all year.
I also went to a little town called Guadas, and it was in the middle of mountains so it made the weather super hot. There was a river close to the house I was staying and I got to swim in it. Once again, I got sick from all the food I was eating.
I have a mixed relationship with the rain, sometimes I like it, and sometimes I hate it. It also depends how long it'll be happening for. Like I said, I also hate the rain because I have to be carrying an umbrella around. While my head is dry, my shoes and pants are soaking wet. Don't get me even started on the puddles and mud. I have to constantly be on my tippy toes so I don't get my shoes full of mud.
However, I like the rain especially when I'm going to sleep because it calms me down. Also, the next day (if it doesn't rain again), all the grass and the trees are green . Thats pretty much it, I hate the rain more than I like it. |
